#ReadWomen 2023 Third Quarter

Here are all the books I read July-September 2023!

I didn't tackle much over the summer as The Book of Form and Emptiness by Ruth Ozeki is a bit of a beast. And I'm sorry to say, I really did not enjoy it! I can't believe it - Ozeki is one of my all-time favourite writers and I bought myself the hard cover copy of Book, and at least for me, slogging through it put a damper on an already bummer summer. Lesson learned at least - don't by the hard cover edition of any book, even if its by one of your faves, unless you've read it first.

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton (or is it 7.5 Deaths? My copy said 7 on the cover, ha!) was a recommendation from one of my coworkers and it was very compelling, I was reading it while I was brushing my teeth, while I was making dinner, etc -- I couldn't put it down!

I also really enjoyed bell hooks' All About Love. Tremendous and I learned so much, thank you to my bff MK for lending it to me! I liked it so much I went out and bought a copy for myself and for another dear friend once I finished reading it.
